Michael Bauermeister
Michael Bauermeister has become well known for his dramatic and sculptural wooden vessels. He originally trained as a sculptor and became a furniture designer-builder for twelve years before he made his first large bowl in 1992. His large pieces are made from laminated rings of wood that are stacked and glued. These rough shapes are then sanded, turned and sometimes painted before a final polish is applied. Michael's bowls are unique and fit very well in either homes or businesses.
